Managed endpoint and cloud security, York and Yorkshire
We are the security, cloud and compliance layer, not the helpdesk. We secure and manage your endpoints, Microsoft 365 and cloud environment, and we co-exist with your existing IT support or run the lot for a business that has none.
Three tiers. Published prices. Monthly rolling. No multi-year lock-in.
Who this is for
Yorkshire SMBs, typically five to 50 seats, based in York, the East Riding, or North Yorkshire. Common sectors include solicitors, dental practices, accountancy firms and the motor trade. These are businesses that handle client data, carry professional obligations, and need a proper security posture rather than basic antivirus and hope.
You may have an existing IT support provider who handles helpdesk tickets and printer problems. That is fine. We sit alongside them and own the security layer. You may have no IT support at all. That is also fine, we can take on the day-to-day IT as well as the security.
Need IT support as well? Let us know. For smaller teams who would rather have a single provider, we can include day-to-day IT support alongside the security stack. For larger organisations, or where you need cover around the clock, we can arrange that too. Tell us what you have in place and what you need, and we will put together something that fits.
What we manage
Every seat on the managed service gets two foundational capabilities, present in every tier.
Monitoring and patch management
Powered by NinjaOne RMM. Every device is monitored for health, software inventory, and patch status. Operating system and third-party patches are applied automatically on schedule. We know about problems before they become outages, and we do not wait for a phone call to find out a machine is broken.
24/7 MDR via the Huntress SOC
Powered by Huntress. Endpoint detection and response (EDR), next-generation antivirus, identity threat detection across Microsoft 365 accounts, and security event monitoring, all backed by the Huntress Security Operations Centre running around the clock. When Huntress raises an incident, we handle communication and remediation co-ordination on your behalf.
Monthly security posture report
Every tier includes a monthly posture report covering patch compliance, threat detections and resolutions, any open risks, and where things stand against your baseline. You always know what we are doing and why.
Secure and Govern tiers add Microsoft 365 hardening, managed email security, cloud-to-cloud backup, and deeper governance capabilities. See the full tier breakdown below.
Three tiers
All prices are per seat, per month, and exclude VAT. A 5-seat minimum applies. The service runs monthly rolling with no multi-year lock-in.

How it works
Getting started is straightforward. The setup fee is a one-off, year-one cost. From month two, you pay the monthly rate for your seats and nothing else.
Microsoft 365 licensing note. Where you take the "with Microsoft 365 Business Premium" column, the M365 licensing is included in the monthly price and follows Microsoft's annual NCE commitment. That is a Microsoft requirement, not ours, and we disclose it clearly in every proposal before you sign anything. If you already hold M365 licences through another provider, you choose the "client brings own" column instead, and we manage the security on top.
- 1 Initial call. We confirm your seat count, existing tooling, Microsoft 365 status, and any immediate concerns. Usually 30 minutes.
- 2 Proposal. We send a fixed-price proposal within two working days. Tier, seat count, setup fee, monthly rate, all in writing before you commit.
- 3 Onboarding. We deploy agents, configure the Microsoft 365 tenant, and establish your baseline. Typically complete within five working days for a standard SMB environment.
- 4 Managed service begins. Monthly reporting, 24/7 monitoring via the Huntress SOC, and quarterly reviews (Secure and above) continue for as long as you are on the service.
Why Wolds Cyber
Direct expert, no handoff
The person you deal with on the first call is the person who runs your security. There is no ticket queue, no junior analyst handling your environment. When something happens, you speak to the engineer who knows your setup.
Published prices, no opaque quotes
Most providers in this market ask you to call before telling you what anything costs. We publish every price on this page. You know what you are getting into before you pick up the phone.
Security layer, not helpdesk
We are not a generic IT managed service provider. We focus on security: protecting devices, identities, email, and cloud data. We sit alongside your existing IT support or run the lot if you have none, but security is always the primary focus.
Registered Ltd, PI-insured
Wolds Cyber Ltd is a Companies House registered limited company (company number 17143627). We carry professional indemnity insurance underwritten by Hiscox. You are dealing with a proper business, not a sole trader operating without cover.
Frequently asked questions
What is included in each tier?
Protect includes remote monitoring and patch management (NinjaOne RMM), 24/7 managed detection and response via the Huntress SOC (endpoint detection and response, antivirus, identity threat detection, and security event monitoring), and a monthly security posture report. Secure adds Microsoft 365 tenant hardening and Conditional Access baseline, managed email security, cloud-to-cloud backup for Microsoft 365, and a quarterly posture review. Govern adds Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Azure managed services where applicable, and a quarterly risk register and board-level security summary review.
Do I have to move my IT support to you?
No. We are the security, cloud and compliance layer, not the helpdesk. We work alongside your existing IT support provider with no disruption to that relationship. If you have no current IT support, we can cover the managed security stack and advise on options for general helpdesk, but it is not a requirement of the service.
Is there a minimum contract?
The service runs monthly rolling. There is no multi-year lock-in on the managed security layer. The minimum seat count is five. Where you take Microsoft 365 Business Premium through us, that licensing follows Microsoft's annual NCE commitment, which is disclosed clearly in the proposal before you commit to anything.
Do prices include VAT?
No. All prices shown are per seat, per month, and exclude VAT. VAT is added at the prevailing rate (currently 20%) where applicable.
What does the setup fee cover?
The one-off onboarding fee (from £500, based on seat count and starting state) covers RMM agent rollout across all devices, Microsoft 365 tenant hardening and Conditional Access baseline configuration (Secure and Govern tiers), Huntress MDR deployment and tuning, and baseline documentation. It is charged once, in year one only. The exact fee is confirmed in the proposal before you commit.
Do you provide a 24/7 SOC?
24/7 monitoring is delivered via the Huntress Security Operations Centre, not Wolds Cyber's own SOC. Huntress operates a dedicated SOC that monitors and responds to threats on your endpoints and Microsoft 365 environment around the clock. When Huntress raises an incident, we handle the client-side communication and remediation co-ordination on your behalf. You get the benefit of a 24/7 SOC without the overhead of us building one ourselves.
