I spent over a decade in automotive management — franchised dealer, independent garage, Bosch Car Service implementation. That background taught me how operational failures actually propagate: how a single point of weakness cascades into downtime, data loss, and reputational damage. It also taught me how to communicate technical findings to people who need to act on them, not just read them.
I'm transitioning into network engineering and cybersecurity, with Wolds Cyber Ltd as the vehicle. I run an enterprise-grade home network — Proxmox cluster, full UniFi stack, VLAN segmentation, network-attached storage — not because I have to, but because understanding how things break is how you understand how to secure them.
I am studying Network Engineering with the Open University, with the CCNA module completing in the second half of 2026. CompTIA Security+ is next. Why independence matters
No conflict of interest
I do not sell managed IT services, hardware, or ongoing support contracts. My only job is to tell you what I find. When your IT provider assesses their own work, there is a structural tension — even for the best engineers. Independence removes that entirely.
Plain English, always
Every finding is written so the business owner can understand it. Technical detail is included for whoever needs to action the remediation, but the executive summary is designed to be read in ten minutes without a technical background.
